Opinion:
Microsoft Corporation is currently trading higher today after reporting earnings yesterday. The company beat expectations slightly and was able to report some stronger compared to last year. The main reason for the increase in stock price has to do with the fact that cloud growth grew this past quarter for Microsoft. This is a win for investors, as Microsoft is in tough competition against other cloud businesses like Amazon, etc. They are currently on track to finish their best day of trading in the past two years. I love how they were able to pretty much increase every important financial category by almost double digits compared to last year. Although this year has been the fall of some of the tech stocks, Microsoft is attesting too that by reporting a strong earnings report like this. Personally, I do not have any position in Microsoft, but have always had my eye on them. Microsoft is such a huge company with some many different sectors built in under it by their subsidiaries. They are a company that is going to stay around for a while, that's for sure. They are off a tiny bit from their all time highs they reached last October. However, if you look at the max chart for them, it seems as if this company has nothing but growth over the years. I love the business model they possess and look for them to continue operating in the manner they do. If that is the case, this could be a stock to buy and hold for some awesome upside over the next 5-10+ years.
