Market Debrief (Thursday March 10, 2022)

 Happy Friday Stock Talkers!

Stocks declined in the final day of trading this week, marking the 5th straight weeks of loses. U.S. consumer sentiment was reported this morning as it deteriorated more than expected, while consumer inflation estimates are coming in at the highest levels since 1981. Crude oil saw a little increase today, after a major tumble yesterday. CPI reports yesterday showed that inflation has rose to 7.9% year-over-year. Controversy has impeded consumers and workers, as businesses are investing more and more in businesses, workers are unhappy that wages aren't increasing. With prices and inflation rising to levels that we haven't seen in a while, investors are fearing an upcoming recession in the economy. Next week will likely bring more volatility in the market, but as an investor, we can only sit back and watch.
