Opinion:
Campbell Soup Company is currently trading slightly up during todays session after reporting earnings before the market opened. Sales and EPS saw declines on the year-over-year basis, but this was claimed to be from supply constraints and labor constraints. The financial outlook for the rest of the fiscal year shows for a slight decline in sales and a slight decline in Adjusted EPS. Although they are going through some supply constraints, I expect them to improve as everything starts to get situated in the global economy. This shouldn't stray you away from the fact that this is a solid company. It has been around forever and continues to produce decent numbers. They also pay a dividend which could attract investors looking for income from stocks. I am personally going to pass up on this opportunity and buy better companies in this sector, but if you are a fan of this company, it wouldn't be a bad idea you to take a position here.
