Opinion:
McDonald's traded a slight bit higher after reporting earnings last week. The company had a solid earnings report and beat expectations in both revenue and EPS. Even though the company increased its menu prices, global sales increased. There has to be some inelasticity conversation about this company as it had to be the most popular fast food chain across the world. They had all segments they operate in see an increase in sales volume. These led McDonald's to have a solid Q1 profit. I really like this company and it is currently testing its all-time highs right now. The sentiment has to be high with this company, but one thing to watch out for is the war. The company announced that they have paused operations in the region of the war, but that hasn't seemed to affect them too much, as they are still putting up solid numbers. It will be interesting to see what decisions are made once the war is concluded. Personally, I do not have any shares of this company. However, this is known as one of the blue chip stocks. It is a really safe investment and is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. I would say to get into it now and hold it for a long time.
