Market Debrief (Monday March 28, 2022)

 Happy Monday Stock Talkers!

Stocks kicked off the week on a positive note as Big Tech stocks boosted gains. We have seen two straight weeks of gains, and look to continue the winning streak. This is a defining week for the Fed as some key economic data will be released. This will impact how aggressive the Fed will act towards its plans to raise interest rates. Oil saw its biggest drop in two weeks as Shanghai lockdown shows demand fears. A lot of major economic predictors are starting to prepare for a 0.5 bps hike as investor sentiment is starting to become back to normal. The volatility has seemed to subside in the past two weeks as investors are starting to see through the war overseas and Big Tech starting to recover from losses in the first two months. Amazon ($AMZN) was actually the first mega stock to pare losses for the year, and Apple ($AAPL) has seen a 10 day winning streak, which is its longest in a decade. This should be an interesting week for investors, I'm hoping for some strong economic data reports to kind of clear up this situation so we can move on to a more normal look for the economy.
